DID YESHUA (JESUS) HAVE A SIN NATURE ?
Did Yeshua have a sin nature? The answer; of course is obvious. Of course not. That however creates an unexpected problem. Hebrews 4:15 NIV says “...but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet he was without sin.” Traditional teaching says that the reason that we are tempted and even often give in to sin is that we still have the old man, the sin nature even though we are born again. In order for Jesus ,then, to be tempted in every way, just as we are he would have to have a sin nature., and that , of course is ridiculous. Could it be that the devil has us fighting a non-existent foe when the real problem is something else. The answer is in Genesis. When GOD created Adam and Eve they were perfect but they had free will. When God created Lucifer he was perfect but he had free will. They didn't have a sin nature but they were able to sin. In other words you don't need a sin nature in order to sin. All you need are flesh, pride and a free will. The serpent used them to lure Adam and Eve into disobedience. The sin nature was the result of the original sin and not the other way around. I'm going to stop there. I've given you something to think about and for now that is all I'm going to do. I've challenged tradition and your comfort zone. Chew on it for a while and we will come back and look at it again.
